ABOUT

Claire Thibeault

Senior Project Designer, Architecture

Claire joined Knickerbocker Group full-time after interning with the company for two summers. A graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology’s Bachelor and Master Architecture programs, Claire’s excitement for design is rooted in her love of art, nature, and “making.” She believes architecture is the perfect balance between problem-solving and creativity, job and passion, utility and beauty. Claire strives to create functional spaces which excite and reflect how we live, work and play, while connecting us back to the natural landscapes that surround us.

With the exception of time spent in Boston throughout college, Claire has spent her entire life in Maine, growing up in Cumberland and spending almost every weekend at her family’s camp on Moosehead Lake—fishing, boating, snowmobiling, and exploring Maine’s beauty. Other interests include painting, furniture restoration, traveling, and experiencing new cultures.

Claire is currently beginning a new adventure, designing and slowly building her dream farmhouse and homestead on 50 acres with her husband, son, and future farm critters.

KG culture, mission + values

Claire appreciates that Knickerbocker Group truly values a work and family-life balance. Despite the demands of the construction industry, the company culture is rooted in an understanding that family comes first, and that balance of responsibilities is necessary for the physical and mental health of its team.

Knickerbocker Group also fosters a strong relationship between its employees—frequently organizing events and opportunities to build on these relationships. Coworkers have become a second family, and this comfort and support in the workplace makes it a wonderful place to be.

Life in Maine

A warm summer evening spent with family on the shore of Moosehead Lake along with endless adventures and gorgeous natural beauty in all the seasons—camping, hiking, boating, snowmobiling etc.
