Elena Duralde was drawn to Knickerbocker Group to share her passion for interior design. While Elena grew up in Atlanta, she spent her childhood summers vacationing in Boothbay Harbor.
A graduate of the University of Georgia, Elena received a BFA in Interior Design from the Lamar Dodd School of Art. She is inspired by design that is functional, vibrant, and brings out the best of the space and people within it. Having been previously immersed in the antique’s world, Elena has found a love for mixing contemporary and traditional aesthetics. At Knickerbocker Group, Elena’s primary focus has been on residential design; however, her work on several commercial/hospitality jobs has given her experience and a diversified knowledge on both ends of the design spectrum.
Elena is currently living in Portland and loving the adventures that come along with life in a small city. While she has acclimated to the cold winters and loves to ski, the Georgia peach in her most relishes the warmth and beauty of New England summers. In her free time, Elena enjoys traveling, working out, going to concerts, spending time with family at Juniper Point, and discovering all that Maine has to offer.

The ability to get to the ocean, to a lake, ski mountain and urban Portland is one of many highlights. From the restaurants to concerts offered in a small city, to the outdoors—Maine is so diverse.
